Hi all! I do hope this Christmas season has treated you well! Once I finally finished all of the Christmas projects I had to get done, I started on a new item.......the beard hat. We took the prototype to the family party for one of the white elephant gifts, and it was a hit, so I thought I'd try a few more. I'm sure there will be more to come, but here are the first. My foxy hubby is the model. Thanks Mitch!

Love it, Love it, Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you sell the pattern at all? And is it within the skill level on one who is working in his 4th project ever?
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I am not selling the patterns for these. There are a few other versions out there you can find on the internet that you might try. Ravelry is a great site for patterns and such.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I will check out the site!

Why sell the pattern at all? I'm sure when you first learned how to do this hobby, you borrowed books from the library, or downloaded free patterns off the internet. Perhaps a family member taught you certain patterns and from there you developed your skill, which is obviously very talented.
A hat/beard like this one made the front page of Reddit today, and thousands of people want the pattern for this. Sure you could make some money, but since it is Christmas time and the holiday time, I hope you feel in your good heart to provide people with these patterns for free. I asked my mom to crochet me one, but she said she needs the pattern!
Share the love!
I would be more than willing to pay for the pattern, be it via ravelry or etsy.

ReplyDeleteDear Taralee,
ReplyDeleteI must say you are very talented! You have wonderful designs. My wife and I are also from Utah. We live in a small town to the south called Blanding. If you don't know where that is, it's south of Moab, or as my dad calls it, "Edge of the earth, Utah." I just ordered your black snowbearder beanie, and I am looking forward to reciving it! I might also get a kiddo sized one for my little boy. Also, my wife and I are expecting our 2nd baby. We are hoping for a girl this time, and if we get our wish, there are a couple of hats you've designed that I'd like to get for her.Thank you so much, and keep up the amazing work you do!
